AIM VisitorVerdict Now Available To All Museums In Wales / AIM VisitorVerdict yn awr ar gael i bob Amgueddfa yng Nghymru

All museums and heritage sites in Wales are now able to benefit from  ‘AIM VisitorVerdict’ – AIM’s visitor research and benchmarking service – thanks to the launch of a full Welsh-language version and a new partnership between the Association of Independent Museums (AIM) and the Welsh Government.

VisitorVerdict can support Welsh museums by informing them about their audiences and can help to address the lack of data about museum audiences as highlighted in the ‘Expert Review of Local Museum Provision in Wales 2015’  by providing information about who visits, why they are there, what they do on their visit and how many local residents, schools and groups visit.

The paid service is now available to all museums in Wales, but by joining AIM, you can take advantage of substantial AIM member discounts which make VisitorVerdict affordable for all size organisations. You do not have to be independent or a museum to become an AIM member. More information on how to join AIM is available here: Join AIM

In addition, the Welsh Government have provided funding of £150 for the each of the first ten newly signed up Welsh museums that reach one hundred completed AIM VisitorVerdict surveys, so act quickly if you would like to receive this reward for your organisation. Your museum must be a member of AIM to be eligible and Accredited or registered with the Welsh Government as being eligible to apply for Accreditation. Please note that the £150 is only available to new signups as existing VisitorVerdict users have already benefited from a free period followed by an early-bird discount.

AIM VisitorVerdict is now fully available in English and Welsh, and with over a hundred sites already contributing to the service with completed surveys, VisitorVerdict is making a positive difference to visitor attractions across the UK. VisitorVerdict participants are provided with ongoing help and support via the team at BDRC, through online tutorials and events.

So how has VisitorVerdict helped Welsh organisations so far? “VisitorVerdict has been a bit of an eye opener. We have begun to really appreciate the depth built into the system that allows us to address our visitor challenges and experiences from a range of angles and perspectives,” said Lucinda Middleton, Richard and Ann Mayou Fund Curator at MOMA MACHYNLLETH.

Welsh participants are invited to a VisitorVerdict forum in London on 11 July in London or in Wrexham on 16 November. Further information about these events will be sent to all Welsh AIM VisitorVerdict participants. Attendees can expect a productive day learning and sharing best practice for data collection and analysis.
