AIM Hallmarks Museum Leaders Programme: Deadline Extended For Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland

We are delighted to have secured funding to offer places on the AIM Hallmarks development programme for museum leaders to colleagues in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as in England.

Because the opportunity was announced after applications for England opened, we have decided to extend the deadline for applications from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

What is the AIM Hallmarks Museum Leaders Programme?

AIM’s new development programme will support museum directors in their work and enable the organisations that they work for to flourish.

The AIM Hallmarks Museum Leaders Programme will provide practical tools, useful insights and a supportive peer network to equip museum directors to realise the full potential of their organisations.

Led by charity and management experts, Hilary Barnard and Ruth Lesirge from HBRL Consulting, the programme offers residential training plus action learning within participants own museums. Guest speakers from across the wider Third Sector will also enable participants to learn from successful charities, particularly focusing on organisational resilience and leadership.

Outcomes from the programme include:

*Increased confidence, knowledge and skills for the participating museum leaders

*Increased resilience and long term prosperity of the participating museums, using the AIM Hallmarks as a basis

*A mutually supportive peer network

*A positive approach to problem solving

*Opportunities for reflection and review

The places available are:

Wales – 1 place supported with funding from The Federation of Museums & Art Galleries of Wales and AIM

Scotland/Wales/ Northern Ireland – 2 places supported using funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. Both of these places are open to two people from across these regions.
