Open to all Welsh accredited museums for the very first time, the Marketing Excellence Awards 2015 will celebrate the valuable work that staff do to bring their services to new audiences and to develop new activities for existing users. The awards give staff the chance to gain national recognition for that work and to inspire others in the sector to develop innovative marketing solutions.
There are three categories to enter, including:
Demonstrating Marketing Excellence: Entries must be able to demonstrate marketing excellence in a particular aspect of their service.
Joint Marketing Project of the Year: Entries must be able to demonstrate that they have successfully worked in partnership
Marketing Champion of the Year: Nominated individuals must demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm for marketing
Prizes across the different categories include: marketing related prize/s up to the value of £500, trophies and certificates, iPad filming kit including lenses and lights and a half day’s marketing workshop led by Dr Deacon’s team at the University of South Wales.
An awards presentation day will take place at the National Library Wales on Friday 27th February 2015. All entrants will be invited to the event. Winners will have the opportunity to pick up their prizes, gain promotion for their service and meet with the judge – Dr Jonathan Deacon, Reader in Entrepreneurship and Marketing at the University of South Wales.
All entries to be submitted by Friday 30th January 2015. Please note – there will be NO extension to this deadline.
