British Museum seeking partners for “Learning Museum”

We have been sent the following notice by the British Museum:

For the immediate attention of all parties interested in innovative skills-share partnerships with the British Museum:

The British Museum’s National Programmes team is pleased to announce a nationwide call for partner museums for Learning Museum, a HLF Skills for the Future programme which will provide young persons from diverse backgrounds with high quality entry-level vocational training, champion best practice in museum collections and development skills, and create a strong professional network for sharing expertise amongst all trainees and partners.

We seek to establish a well-distributed national network of different sized organisations, and warmly welcome expressions of interests from across the sector and across the UK. We ask only that you share our commitment to nurturing new talent, championing best practice and building a proactive nationwide network for sharing innovative skills and expertise.

If so, please read the call for partners carefully, complete the expression of interest form and return it to us no later than noon the 15th October.

There is considerably more information on the Museum Development North West blog including a link to the expression of interest form.
