The Big Draw is Live

The Big Draw, the world’s biggest drawing festival, is now live with a fantastic new website.

Big Draw

The 2014 Big Draw will run from 1 October to 2 Novemberacross the UK and in twenty other countries, with 280,000 people expected to join in over 1000+ events. The Big Draw offers thousands of enjoyable, and mainly free, drawing activities which connect people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists, designers, illustrators – and each other. These events are for those who love to draw, as well as for those who think they can’t!

Organise A Big Draw

2014 will see The Big Draw working in partnership with the Family Arts Campaign for a second year to create the UK’s largest Family Arts Festival spanning autumn half term from 17 October – 2 November. Drawing can enrich music, dance and theatre performances by encouraging family members to record, expand and communicate these experiences in a different way. To appear on both websites just tick “Family Arts Festival” when you add your event.

This year’s Big Draw theme, It’s Our World, is a celebration of our environment – of urban, rural and coastal landscapes. Look at our mini mag for ideas and inspiration.

Visit the Big Draw ‘organise an event‘ page for ideas for events and information about how to register and take part. Museums around the UK have got involved in previous years and have won some of the ‘Drawing Inspiration’ Awards.
