AIM Mentoring Scheme for Independent Museums in Wales

Following from the AIM Mentoring Scheme we ran for independent museums in England we are pleased to announce that CyMAL is funding us to offer a similar scheme for Accredited independent museums in Wales in association with the Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales.

Five mentoring placements are available to independent museums to enable them to develop new business skills and strategies to improve their commercial and organisational sustainability. Mentoring will be provided by leading independent museums with experienced operational staff. This will include advice on governance, business plans, fundraising and other forms of income generation, as well as events management and marketing.

A grant of up to £1,000 will be provided for each placement to meet travel and accommodation costs. The closing date for applications is Friday 30th June 2014.
