Fixed term, 6 month post £40k pa pro rata
Stoke Mandeville is recognised as the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement and WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Buckinghamshire, is seeking a Project Manager/Consultant to progress the establishment of a new trust and prepare a major bid for submission to the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of a Heritage Project with a range of stakeholders at national and international level.
Building on the success and increased awareness following the 2012 Paralympic Games in London and consultation to date, ambitions are crystallising around a broader brief for the project to go beyond Stoke Mandeville and include the wider Paralympic heritage. Depending upon achieving the funding the consultant may wish to apply for the two year Project Manager post leading up to opening before September 2016.
