The Charleston Trust is offering 12 six month internships as part of its HLF funded Centenary Activity Plan.
This is a Heritage Lottery funded programme to offer structured work-based learning to support career development and to open up opportunities for working in the heritage sector. The internship is part of a 3 year cataloguing and research programme, the aim of which is to conserve and archive, catalogue, photograph and publish online the contents of the Angelica Garnett Gift, an important collection of 8,000 works by the Bloomsbury artists Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell. Also to carry out research that contributes to the Trust’s knowledge of Bloomsbury visual culture and the Charleston Trust’s collection.
Charleston Trust are looking for post graduates with a degree in art history or museum studies who have an interest in 20th Century British art, design and history. Applicants will have an interest in working in museums and galleries and will have a collaborative approach and work well with other people and as part of a team.
